Quick Setup & Adoption
Install Bloom Hub from the SharePoint Store and pick a ready-made setup that fits your organization. From day one, the Bloom Guide helps everyone use it. It opens right inside Bloom Hub, with an article for every widget, interactive guides and every update, in the language of your hub.
Choose the setup that fits
Add Bloom Intranet from the SharePoint Store, place the Bloom Hub web part on a Communication Site and select Install. During the installation you choose one of three setups:
- Complete: all features plus demo content. A great start for a first installation: explore first, then trim.
- Essentials: only the essential widgets and features.
- Clean Slate: an empty canvas for those who know Bloom Hub well.
Whichever you choose, you can adjust everything later in the Admin center. The installation guide takes you step by step from the SharePoint Store to your first board.
Help in the menu of every board
Everyone finds the Bloom Guide under Guide in the menu at the top right of their board. It opens over the board, and when you close it the board is right where you left it.
Discover more in the menu of a widget opens the article about that widget. The guide is available in all 16 languages of Bloom Hub.
Ask Bloom answers your question
Type in the search box of the guide and the matching articles appear as you go. Press Enter and Ask Bloom answers in a few sentences, with links to the articles where you can read more.
Ask how to add a colleague’s calendar and you get the four steps, from Add calendar to Save, with the Calendar articles right underneath. A follow-up question picks up where the answer left off.
Interactive guides for everyday tasks
Short interactive guides walk your colleagues through everyday tasks, such as creating their own board and adding widgets, adding a colleague’s calendar or putting something on the Marketplace.
Click through each step at your own pace, or let the guide play on its own.
A dot shows when there is news
What’s new? in the board menu shows every update to Bloom Hub in one stream, newest first, with screenshots of what changed and where to find it.
When a new update arrives, a dot appears on the menu button and next to What’s new?. Once you have opened the stream, the dot goes away until the next update. Your colleagues hear about new features from Bloom Hub itself.
Help for administrators on every Admin center page
Managing Bloom Hub has an article for every section of the Admin center, and interactive guides for branding, board templates, shared boards and configuration packages. View guide on an Admin center page opens the article for that page.
In General settings you decide who uses which part of the guide: the articles and interactive guides, and What’s new?. Administrators always have access to everything.
